Queens Park Rangers have finally parted ways with embattled manager Mark Hughes after a winless start to the Premier League season that's seen them languishing in 20th place, despite attracting a large collection of talent to Loftus Road in the summer. QPR's complete lack of organisation, poor performances and awful results have seen Hughes on the managerial hot seat for some time, and the former Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City and Fulham boss has finally been given the axe by the board:

Queens Park Rangers Football Club has today (Friday) terminated the contract of manager Mark Hughes with immediate effect.
This decision has been taken after careful consideration by the Board of Directors, following numerous meetings over the last few days.
The Board of Directors wish to thank Mark for his commitment, hard work and dedication in his ten months in charge.

Who'll be tasked with turning the club around? Roberto di Matteo is available after being sacked by Chelsea on Wednesday. So too is Harry Redknapp, who was replaced as Tottenham manager by Andre Villas-Boas over the summer. The smart money is on Redknapp, and QPR are expected to confirm a new coach in short order. The only question left is how it took them this long to fire Hughes.
