Cesc Fabregas is expected to miss 3-4 weeks of action for Barcelona after suffering a thigh muscle injury during the team's 2-1 win over Real Betis. The big story of Barca's win on Sunday, of course, was Lionel Messi scoring his 85th and 86th goals of 2012, breaking Gerd Muller's long-standing record for goals in a calender year. Fabregas only made it nine minutes into the record-setting win before going down with a thigh strain.
Cesc Fabregas out 3-4 weeks
Cesc Fabregas suffered a thigh injury during Barcelona’s 2-1 win over Real Betis on Sunday, and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks of action.

The midfielder will miss the final three games of 2012, La Liga matches against Atletico Madrid, Real Valladolid and a Copa Del Ray match against Cordoba.
Barcelona released a statement following the game reading: "FC Barcelona's Medical Services have confirmed that Cesc Fabregas has torn the bicep femoris in his left thigh." Fabregas was not the only injury worry for Barca during the win, with captain Carles Puyol being removed at halftime with what the team called "pain in his right leg".
The Spanish midfielder has put in five goals and chipped in nine assists for the Blaugranas this season. Barca currently has a six-point cushion at the top of La Liga ahead of Atletico Madrid.
