But the ‘anything can happen in football cliche’ aside, Bayern are in fantastic shape to get through. After two wins in their first two games, BATE have been in free-fall, most recently giving Lille their first points of the group stages with a 2-0 home defeat, and they’ve already guaranteed themselves a spot in the Europa League, and so have nothing to play for. There’s no reason to expect anything but a Bayern win.
