College Cup 2012: Indiana, Georgetown advance

Thanks to a series of impressive upsets, either a No. 16 seed or No. 12 seed will play in this weekend’s College Cup final. Indiana and Creighton, led by two of the country’s best coaches, have unexpectedly played their way into the men’s College Cup in Hoover, Alabama. They face off in the late semifinal on Friday night.

In that matchup, keep an eye on Indiana forward Eriq Zavaleta, a sophomore who will have a chance to turn professional over the winter if he chooses. Creighton have a couple of solid professional prospects as well, in midfielder Jose Gomez and defender Eric Miller.
