Bayer Leverkusen sit on just 31 points in a disappointing sixth place in the Bundesliga, but based on their Champions League performances and their best performances during this Bundesliga season, they shouldn’t be a walkover for Borussia Dortmund. That is, assuming that Bayer are not looking ahead. In just four days time, they host FC Barcelona at the BayArena in the UEFA Champions League.
Borussia Dortmund Vs. Bayer Leverkusen, 2012 Bundelsiga Week 21: Barca Looms Large For Bayer
Borussia Dortmund looks to expand their Bundesliga lead, while Bayer Leverkusen needs to avoid getting caught looking ahead to FC Barcelona and the UEFA Champions League.

Bayer’s play in the league this season suggests that the Champions League was always the priority, and that they don’t have the team to compete on both fronts. This did not appear to be the case for Der BVB, but they were bounced out of Europe in disappointing fashion, and now just have the Bundesliga to focus on.
Mario Götze is the only absentee for Jurgen Klopp, who will be able to play close to his strongest side. Michal Kadlec and Sidney Sam are both out injured for Bayer, but Renato Augusto has just recently returned to full fitness. Robin Dutt has had a selection dilemma when all of Sam, Augusto, Michael Ballack and Andre Schürrle are fit, and he should have no such dilemma on Saturday.
