Arsenal's Tomas Rosicky has been struggling mightily for form over the past few seasons. The former Borussia Dortmund playmaker had an excellent initial season with the Gunners, but a series of severe hamstring injuries forced him out for 18 months, and since his prolonged absence, the midfielder has had real trouble making an impact.
Arsenal, Tomas Rosicky Agree New Contract
Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky has penned a new deal with Arsenal after a strong run of form that’s coincided with the club’s push for fourth place.

A series of superb performances lately are an indication that Rosicky's fortunes are finally turning and that the Czech Republic captain is ready to assert himself in an Arsenal midfield that's lost both Cesc Fabregas and Jack WIlshere this season. Arsenal themselves seem to agree, and they've now tied Rosicky down to a new contract.
In a statement posted on the club's official website, Arsene Wenger wasn't exactly restrained in his praise of Rosicky:
I’ve always been a big admirer of Tomas’ abilities and am delighted he’s chosen to commit his future to the Club. I believe he is an exceptional player, a natural footballer who is technically top class.
He plays the style of football we champion here and shares completely our philosophy. He is always ready to work for the sake of the Club, always willing to put the team first. I have huge respect for him.
The terms of the contract are currently all undisclosed, but all signs indicate that the 31-year-old will be sticking around at the Emirates for quite some time yet.
