It's useless to pretend this weekend in Serie A is about anything more than the Derby della Capitale. The Roman sides are separated by seven points, but a win for either Lazio or Roma brings a much-needed boost. Roma's 4-1 defeat to Atalanta saw them drop out of the European positions, but a win will possibly bring them back up to the Europa places, depending on the outcome of Napoli's match against Parma. The stakes are higher for "visitors" Lazio, who are fighting Udinese for third place.
Week 26, 2012 Serie A: Pick Your Sides For The Derby della Capitale
The Rome Derby takes place on Sunday, but there’s still plenty of excitement to be had on Saturday. Week 26 in Italy finishes with Inter hosting Catania.

Meanwhile, in other matches: Chievo look to be the first to hand Juventus a defeat this season, and with their bogeyman Sergio Pellissier, it just might happen. Probably not, though, as Pesslier is suspended, which usually makes scoring difficult. Milan play earlier on Saturday and might have trouble with Palermo, considering their home record, so Juve will be doing their best to find points and retake first place.
On Sunday, after the aforementioned Parma - Napoli match, a bunch of mid-table teams play low-table teams while the world keeps its eye on Rome. If the derby doesn’t thrill you enough, the weekend ends with Inter hosting Catania. The rossazzurri could find themselves even on points with Inter -- with a game in hand -- should they win in Milan. That’s pretty crazy stuff for Vincenzo Montella’s exciting side.
