Chile To Host 2015 Copa America After Striking Deal With Brazil
Brazil was supposed to host Copa America in 2015, but Chile will get the right because of Brazil’s glut of international competitions

Chile's president of the country's professional football association Sergio Jaude told reporters on Friday that the country would host Copa America in 2015 and that more details would be released on Saturday. It is expected that Brazil will take Chile's schedule turn to host the tournament in 2019.
There had been talk of Brazil giving up the right to host the tournament in 2015 for a while, but the president of the country’s FA, Ricardo Teixeira, insisted that it would not happen. Teixeria has since resigned his post, though, opening the door for a deal that will allow Chile to host South America’s football championship.
