Toronto FC Vs. LA Galaxy, 2012 CONCACAF Champions League: Mike Magee Pulls One Back For LA

It hasn't even been a half-hour and this CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal first leg has already seen three goals. First, Toronto FC got a goal from Ryan Johnson and then Luis Silva doubled the home side's lead to send Rogers Centre' into raptures. The ability to handle adversity is a big reason why the LA Galaxy won MLS Cup last season, though, so they weren't about to go away and it was the man with three playoff goals last season, Mike Magee, who tallied to make this a 2-1 game.

The play started down the right with Landon Donovan on the ball and plenty of Galaxy players in the box. Donovan couldn't get a cross away so he laid the ball off for the overlapping Sean Franklin, who hit a good cross with his first touch to the far post. Stefan Frei came out to try and collect the cross, but it was over his head and having missed the ball, he was in no man's land. The ball found Magee at the back post, who simply put the ball into the largely empty net and LA was within one with a vital away goal to their name.
