Everton starlet and England hopeful Jack Rodwell has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a grade one hamstring tear in training.

Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell is likely to sit out the remainder of the season with a grade one hamstring tear, and has been advised by manager David Moyes to forget about playing in Euro 2012 and focus on next season.
Rodwell has made just five appearances in the last five months for the Merseyside club, and is now a certainty miss out on any potential FA Cup glory with the side, while manager David Moyes has told him to forget Euro 2012 and focus on getting fit for next season;
I would advise him to concentrate on next season. Jack has probably missed six months with hamstring injuries, so we have to get him working on whatever work programme they recommend him to do.
With Moyes wanting Rodwell to sit out the summer tournaments, the Scotsman has revealed the club are looking to send the star to one of Europe’s top specialists to get him fit for the 2012/13 season;
We are trying to send him to Germany for treatment. Dr Muller-Wohlfahrt is away this week and because he is the Bayern Munich doctor, he has a very big week next week because of their Champions League semi-final.
The 21-year old had gathered lots of attention over the past year, and Manchester United are known admirers of the defensive midfielder's ability, while his performances for The Toffees were also recognized by deposed England manager Fabio Capello, who handed him two England caps in his final two games as boss.
Everton fans will be hoping the German expert can work his magic on the talented youngster as he looks to cement a place in the lineup for next season, but will have to prove his fitness before he can oust Marouane Fellaini or Leon Osman from the side.
