Manchester United Vs. Aston Villa, Premier League 2012: Lineups

Sir Alex Ferguson selected a strong side for today's game with Aston Villa, as his side look to reestablish a commanding lead at the top of the Premier League, and notably there was a very attacking bench selected by the home side, including a return for Dimitar Berbatov.

Aston Villa's injury problems meant there was a continued reliance on youth, as Alex McLeish handed starts to Nathan Baker and Eric Lichaj in defence, while impressive young Austrain striker Andreas Weimann also started the game after scoring a wonderful goal against Stoke City last time out.

Manchester United Lineup (4-4-2): David De Gea; Rafael, Jonny Evans, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra; Ashley Young, Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick, Antonio Valencia; Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck

Substitutes: Ben Amos, Phil Jones, Dimitar Berbatov, Ryan Giggs, Javier Hernandez, Luis Nani, Tom Cleverley

Aston Villa Starting Lineup (4-3-3): Shay Given; Alan Hutton, James Collins, Nathan Baker, Eric Lichaj; Barry Bannan, Ciaran Clark, Gary Gardner; Stephen Ireland, Andreas Weimann, Gabriel Agbolahor

Substitutes: Brad Guzan, Daniel Johnson, Nathan Delfouneso, Emile Heskey, Charles N'Zogbia, Carlos Cuellar, Samir Carruthers

The game kicks off at 11AM ET, and 4PM UK.
