Tottenham Hotspur may have beaten Swansea City last weekend, but they reverted back to recent form at the Stadium of Light, doing approximately nothing of note for ninety minutes in a 0-0 draw against Sunderland. Apparently Spurs had 70% of possession, but they didn't do very much with it - most of their football involved giving the ball away to a red and white shirt, a favour the hosts were only too happy to repay.
Sunderland Vs. Tottenham Hotspur, 2012 Premier League: Final Score 0-0 In Snoozer
It's a measure of the sloppiness of the match that only four shots ended up on target between the two sides out of 26 attempts. None of them came particularly close to scoring. At the end of the day, a point isn't the worst thing in the world for Tottenham, since this was the most difficult remaining fixture on the cards, and they're still in good shape to finish above both Chelsea and Arsenal. Sunderland probably didn't mind either.
