Inter Milan have signed Fredy Guarín from FC Porto for a transfer fee of €11 million. Guarín will officially leave the Estadio do Dragão this summer for a permanent move to the San Siro. The midfielder spent January through May of 2012 on loan with Inter.

Guarín, 25, only featured in six matches for Inter while spending half the season with them on loan. A calf problem restricted him for a majority of the loan spell. Guarín still impressed enough during his Italian adventure that Inter are willing to make this deal permanent.

The Colombian international has 36 international caps to his name, and he played in over 40 matches for Porto during the 2010-2011 season when he first attracted the attention of Inter. Finally after over a year of trying to get his signature, Inter have their guy. Guarín will be a big part of Inter’s quest to return to the top of the Serie A table.
