Jeffrey Bruma will extend his loan with Hamburg from Chelsea for another season, according to the club's official press release.
Jeffrey Bruma Extends Hamburg Loan
Hamburg extend Jeffrey Bruma’s loan deal for another season.

“Jeffrey will be playing for us next season,” Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen said in the statement. “Jeffrey has developed well in the recent past, including at right back. In Hamburg he has shown that he can play in various positions. It was a clear step forward.”
The London-based Champions League winner decided not to exercise their option to bring him back to Stamford Bridge from the loan deal. Hamburg gladly extended the deal for another season. Hamburg brought in three Chelsea players last summer in Bruma, Michael Mancienne, and Slobodan Rajkovic. Of the three, Bruma impressed the most, and there are rumors that one of the other two could exit the club in favor of FC Basel centerback David Abraham.
Bruma fell out of favor with Michael Oenning at the beginning of the season and found himself on the bench for four of the club’s first six matches. When Thorsten Fink took over in October, Bruma became a regular in the starting eleven, and Hamburg’s play greatly improved.
Hamburg avoid relegation this season, and they believe that they are a few moves away from competing for a European place.
