Tottenham Hotspur fullback Kyle Walker has committed his future to the club by signing a new long-term contract. The 21-year-old old impressed in his first full season, winning the PFA young season award as voted upon by his fellow professionals, and he's been rewarded with a deal through the 2016/17 season.

While Walker’s still got plenty to learn about the details of positioning, his raw talent makes him an intriguing prospect for both Spurs and England. He’s by some distance the fastest right back in the Premier League, and his habit of popping up with long-range goals is, at the very least, somewhat amusing. If Walker can absorb the lessons his coaches will surely be hammering into him regarding the deficiencies in his game, Tottenham could have that position locked down for the forseeable future. In a league sorely lacking talented right backs, that makes this a worthwhile signing, especially if his wages are reasonable.
