Felix Magath Signs Extension With Wolfsburg
Felix Magath signs a two-year extension.

Wolfsburg’s chairman of the board Dr. Francisco Javier Garcia Sanz said, “With Felix Magath we can achieve both our short-term goals, which would be to challenge for a European place in the coming season, as well as our long-term targets -- which include keeping VfL in the top third of the Bundesliga for the long haul.”
Wolfsburg flirted with the relegation zone for the first half of the season, but found their way on track in the second half on their way to a mid-table finish. They nearly qualified for a Europa League place with a late push, but came up just four points short.
Magath seems excited to see his employment continue: “I’m delighted that VfL are giving me the opportunity to continue my work here in the long-term. Even last season, a distinct number of the decisions we made were in relation to prospects for the future. Now we intend to continue that work and extend it further. We want to turn VfL into a top challenger in the Bundesliga.”
