If Huntelaar has suffered a concussion, it will be his second in only a few months. During the Netherlands friendly on February 29 against England, Huntelaar suffered a concussion after a collision with English defender Chris Smalling. Huntelaar admitted after the match that he could not even remember the play during which he was concussed.
Huntelaar is coming off of fantastic season in the Bundesliga with Schalke where he scored 29 goals and won the Golden Boot. The Netherlands were considered one of the top three or four sides heading into Euro 2012 on the back of Huntelaar and Robin Van Persie. Hopefully for the Dutch and for fans of the game, Huntelaar hasn’t suffered a concussion and will be fit for this summer’s tournament.
