Just when it looked like the Seattle Sounders might finally be getting healthy, another man goes down. This time is is breakout star David Estrada, who broke his foot at will miss 8-12 weeks after undergoing surgery.

Estrada is the Sounders' top scorer with five goals and has started 12 matches, tied for the most on the team. Playing both up top and on the wing, Estrada has been a revelation, impacting nearly every match and giving the team some outstanding play, which they have needed with Mauro Rosales battling injuries.

In Estrada's absence, Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid will likely turn to Sammy Ochoa and Alex Caskey. Neither player has played much in MLS this season, but whether it is Ochoa up top or Caskey out wide, they have performed reasonably well in U.S. Open Cup matches. Now they will have to do it in league matches, at least until Estrada returns.

Estrada had a break in his other foot at UCLA so he knows what kind of recovery he is facing, but it still has to be tough for him. After playing sparingly, he really made a jump this year and was in the midst of a great season. But now that season is on hold for at least two months.
