Ukraine Vs. England, Euro 2012: Lines, Odds And Picks
Lines: Ukraine, +1/2 (-120). England, -1/2 (+100).
Odds: Ukraine, +275. England, +100. Draw, +230.
Over/Under: Over 2.5, +105. Under 2.5, -125.
Both teams are very much in the mix to advance to the quarterfinals and a draw doesn't put both through so we don't have to worry about motive here. Ukraine and England are both going to have a real go at this one. Unfortunately for Ukraine, that's not enough. They have gotten two good performances from Andriy Shevchenko, but they cannot count on him to carry them and they just do not have the quality around him. Meanwhile, the idea of Anatoliy Tymoshchuk chasing Ashley Young around is funny enough, but throw Wayne Rooney in there too? Good grief. The money is on England, even if the heart is with the hosts.
This isn’t a great match to bet the over/under because the under looks like the good bet, but -125 is a bad number. Bad number doesn’t mean bad bet, though. It’s just an unfortunate one. Bet it anyways.
