FC Dallas became the 16th MLS team to get a shirt sponsor, announcing their partnership with supplement company AdvoCare on Wednesday. That leaves the Colorado Rapids, San Jose Earthquakes and Sporting Kansas City as the only MLS teams without a current sponsor. Only the Rapids and Kansas City have never had a shirt sponsor.

FC Dallas becomes 16th MLS team to play with a shirt sponsor.

“For the past year and a half we have spent countless hours identifying, meeting with and presenting the hero partner that will adorn the chest of over 200 teams that make up the FC Dallas club,” FC Dallas President and CEO Doug Quinn said in a press release. “Our ultimate intent was to secure the perfect partners and we’re delighted to have found that in Advocare. Today our journey together begins as we are thrilled to call this group of wonderful people family.”
No details of the deal were announced, but MLS does require shirt sponsorships to be at least $500,000 per year. Xango, which is a similar company, reportedly sponsors Real Salt Lake for about $1 million per year.
