Oscar left Internacional to join Brazil's Olympics team, and he won't be going back. His long-rumored move to English Premier League side Chelsea FC has finally been completed. He took a medical at the club prior to the Olympics, but said that his future would not be decided until after the completion of the London games. Apparently, he was mistaken. Chelsea announced the move on Wednesday.

During the 2011 Brazilian season, Oscar had a breakout year with 10 goals in the Brazileirao, as well as three goals in Copa Libertadores. He scored just one goal in this year’s Copa Libertadores, but tallied four assists in the continental competition. Oscar has represented Brazil six times, and he’ll be starting for the Brazil Under-23 side when they begin their quest for a gold medal on Thursday.
There's currently a bit of a logjam at attacking midfield at Stamford Bridge, and Oscar will find it tough to break into the team right away. The good news for him is that both Eden Hazard and Juan Mata can play on the wings, while Frank Lampard has made the transition to playing into a deeper role in his mid-30s.
