Chelsea Vs. MLS, 2012 All-Star Game: Chris Pontius Nets Equalizer

The MLS All-Star Game is all level again thanks to Chris Pontius. After John Terry and Frank Lampard scored to turn a 1-0 Chelsea deficit into a 2-1 lead for the Blues, it looked like the UEFA Champions League winners would hold off the MLS All-Stars, but Pontius scored in the 73rd minute and has this one all even at 2-2 now.

The goal started with David Beckham, who hit a gorgeous long ball over the top of the Chelsea defense right into the path of Dwayne De Rosario. The reigning MLS MVP then ran at goal, but was really at a sharp angle and couldn't do too much himself.

He was able to spot Pontius making a late run into the box, though, and De Rosario played it back for the D.C. United man. Pontius then ripped the ball into the net and put the match back on level terms with a great team goal.
