Jack Wilshere will not be returning to the field soon, but it isn't all bad news for Arsenal. While he will be out until October, he is on schedule in his rehab so he has not had another setback. Now it is just a matter of staying on the same track that he is on to get him back out at the Emirates.
Jack Wilshere Eying October Return From Injury
Jack Wilshere might return as early as October, according to Arsene Wenger.

"Hopefully, we will get Wilshere back playing for October," Arsenal manager Wenger said. "With Abou Diaby returning, it will be like signing two new players. This season, the squad will be strong and competitive."
Wilshere missed all of last season after injuring his ankle in the summer of 2011. He was supposed to return on several occasions during the season, but he was repeatedly setback and then in May he underwent surgery on his knee to repair a problem that was said to be affecting his ankle as well. That ruled him out of Euro 2012 and will keep him out until at least October.
For all of Arsenal's signings this summer, no addition would be as important as getting Wilshere back. Without him last season, Arsenal had major issues in the midfield. In fact, it could be argued that his not playing and the effect it had on the Gunners did more for Wilshere's stock than any of his actual play before that.
If he can return by October and find his old form, Arsenal becomes a completely different team. He makes their often shaky midfield a very good one and with Robin van Persie possibly on the way out, the Gunners may need a very good midfield to finish in the top four again.
