Credit to Zarek Valentin for agreeing to let the MLSsoccer.com cameras into his house to film him cooking a meal. I don't want to be too hard on the guy, but he probably shouldn't be showing off his cooking "skills."

Clearly, no one is going to be knocking down his door to make him the next celebrity chef. Let’s break it down:
First off, who told him cucumbers taste good sauteed? Also, cucumbers are basically water and do not count as a vegetable when they are the only vegetable in the meal.
I’m going to go ahead and overlook the fact that the video doesn’t show Valentin washing his hands after cutting the chicken. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he did that off camera (sorry, it’s a pet peeve of mine with cooking shows).
The finalized dish essentially consists of chicken with white rice and presumably canned beans over the top of it. I obviously don’t know Valentin’s Puerto Rican grandmother, but I have to assume that is not the way she cooked “arroz con pollo” at home.
Just to add insult to injury, the video ends with Valentin serving the dish to teammate Andrew Wenger, who proceeds to dump what appears to be two or three times the recommended daily allowance of salt to his meal.
Definitely a fun video, although probably not the best advertisement for the nutritional habits the Impact are teaching their players.
