D.C. United have apparently found the investors they've been looking for. Erick Thohir and Jason Levien, currently minority owners in the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, have agreed to become co-owners of United along with current owner Will Chang, according to an ESPN report.
Philadelphia 76ers Owners Buying Stake In D.C. United, Report Says
ESPN report says new owners will make building a new D.C. United stadium their top priority.

Chang has been openly looking for partners in order to help him build a new soccer-specific stadium for United, which the report indicates is the new owners’ top priority.
Despite being the most successful MLS team in league history and currently leading the Eastern Conference, United’s attendance has been on a general downward slide for the past five years. With an average attendance of just over 14,000 so far this year, they rank 17th out of 19 teams and are on pace to have their worst attendance in their 17-year history. The blame for that has been largely placed on 50-year-old RFK Stadium, which is generally considered the most antiquated stadium in the league.
