Tottenham Hotspur Vs. West Bromwich Albion: Lineups

Emmanuel Adebayor and Romelu Lukaku both have to make do with places on the bench as Tottenham take on West Brom.

Emmanuel Adebayor begins his second spell at Spurs on the bench as the North London club play their first home game of the season, with Jermain Defoe starting as a lone striker.

Jake Livermore is also handed a start alongiside Sandro in a double-pivot supporting Rafael van der Vaart.

For The Baggies, Shane Long is their striker of choice, with Romelu Lukaku having to make do with a place on the bench despite his goal against Liverpool on the opening day of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur lineup (4-2-3-1): Brad Friedel; Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Jan Verthonghen, William Gallas, Kyle Walker; Sandro, Jake Livermore; Gareth Bale, Rafael Van der Vaart, Aaron Lennon; Jermain Defoe. Bench: Carlo Cudicini, Kyle Naughton, Jermaine Jenas, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Emmanuel Adebayor, Andros Townsend, Steven Caulker.

West Bromwich Albion lineup (4-2-3-1): Ben Foster; Liam Ridgewell, Jonas Olsson, Gareth McAuley, Steven Reid; Youssuf Mulumbu, Claudio Yacob; Marc-Antoine Fortune, Graham Dorrans, James Morrison; Shane Long. Bench: Boaz Myhill, Markus Rosenberg, Chris Brunt, Romelu Lukaku, Zoltan Gera, Craig Dawson, Billy Jones.
