A full slate of Europa League playoff round matches today saw several notable European clubs advance on to the group stages.

Liverpool needed a late goal from Luis Suarez after goalkeeper Pepe Reina's howler allowed Hearts of Midlothian to equalize. Internazionale drew 2-2 with FC Vaslui to give them a 4-2 aggregate victory, while Newcastle advanced 2-1 after defeating Atromitos 1-0 at the Sports Direct Arena tonight.

If absurd results are your thing, look no further than PSV Eindhoven's 9-0 win over Zeta today. Combined with their 5-0 first leg win, Eindhoven advanced on a whopping 14-0 aggregate total. Athletic Bilbao, last year's runner-up,drew 3-3 with HJK, but their 6-0 first leg win allowed them to move on comfortably on aggregate 9-3.

FC Twente gets the comeback of the round around. Down 3-1 after the first leg to Bursaspor, and 4-2 on aggregate at halftime, Twente scored twice in the second half to send the match to extra time and thanks to Leroy Fer’s goal in the 116th minute, advanced 5-4 on aggregate.
