There’s been a lot of consternation in the last several weeks over the coming launch of America’s newest soccer channel beIN Sport. The initial launch date of the channel was supposed to be August 1, but it has been pushed back until August 15.
Will your cable or satellite provider even carry this new channel? Will our cable or satellite provider have to carry the channel in order for us to stream this channel? Nobody knows at this point, and we likely won’t know until we hear directly from the powers that be at beIN Sport.

Gol TV partners in crime Phil Schoen and Ray Hudson made the long trip from Gol TV’s Miami studios to beIN Sports Miami studios. They’ll be the main commentary team for the future of the network.
While fans of everything not named Fox Soccer’s love child English Premier League are concerned they won’t be able to watch their league come the start of this season, the lovely folks at beIN Sports have gone out of their way to give us a little peak at how their channel will operate.
Earlier today, beIN started streaming their channel on their official website beINSport.tv. The site states that the free live stream will last until their channel debuts on August 15. Today, they showed a friendly between Espanyol and Montpelier live. Tomorrow, they will be showing a friendly between Barcelona and Paris St Germain live at 1:45PM EDT. I also imagine that this means will be be able to see the Supercoppa Italiana between Juventus and Napoli live from the Beijing National Stadium in China.
The streaming is of a very high quality. They’re currently airing Barca TV. While I don’t want to watch that, I will be wanting to watch some of the other competitions they have the rights to this year. Hopefully, they’ll figure something out for all of us. Meanwhile, go enjoy the free stream for now.
