The 0-0 draw at Carrow Road between Norwich City and Newcastle was... not good. It wasn't unwatchable, by any means, because both teams tried to make it entertaining, but it was desperately short of quality and goals. Much of the match was played in midfield, where errant passes were the order of the day, leading to a pleasing if not technically appealing ebb and flow to a game that I'm trying to be nice to when talking about it.
Norwich City vs. Newcastle: Final score 0-0 after snoozer at Carrow Road
In front of goal, there were a couple of late scrambles courtesy of the Canaries, but Tim Krul was up to the task of keeping the ball out in the face of heavy pressure from Grant Holt. He didn't manage to stop an admittedly lovely drive from Russell Martin, who showed remarkable skill in volleying sweetly against the side of the post from long range with 23 minutes left to play.
Did other things happen? Not really. Oh well.
