Jamie Carragher also makes a surprise start, with Martin Skrtel on the bench for the Reds. Lucas Leiva and Jordan Henderson are alongside Steven Gerrard in midfield. Andre Wisdom also continues at right-back, with Glen Johnson playing on the left side of defence.
Norwich, meanwhile, opt with Grand Holt up front, with Robert Snodgrass and Alexander Tettey providing support. Anthony Pilkington is on the bench.
