Leeds United vs. Tottenham, 2013 FA Cup: Preview

Leeds United will be looking to end Tottenham’s eight-match unbeaten run and pull off a classic FA Cup upset

Clive Mason

Leeds survived an FA Cup third round replay against Birmingham City and will now turn their attention to Premier League side Tottenham. The last time these two sides met (also in the FA Cup) Leeds held Spurs to a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane before they ultimately fell 3-1 in the replay.

Obviously Leeds supporters will be hoping things turn out differently this time around but their recent play doesn't exactly fill anyone with confidence. Neil Warnock will have to decide what to do with Luciano Becchio who put in a transfer request this week but he does have Everton wonder-kid Ross Barkley available, having joined Leeds on loan for the remainder of the season.

Spurs on the other hand have been steadily improving all season under first year boss Andre Villas-Boas but you always have to wonder how focused they will be on this cup run. There's Champions League qualification to worry about plus the Europa League, but can you completely ignore a chance for silverware?

Spurs haven't lost in eight matches across all competitions and are coming off a dramatic draw against Manchester United that saw Clint Dempsey score in stoppage time to secure a point. They defeated Coventry City 3-0 in the third round.

Leeds United injuries and suspensions

Tottenham injuries and suspensions
