Reading vs. Chelsea: Preview and TV schedule

Reading have won four straight matches to pull within a point of escaping the drop zone. They’ll face a tough challenge against Chelsea who’ve been having some struggles of late.

Chelsea have played a lot games this month (nine) and this season and it's starting to show as Rafa Benitez's team looks tired. You don't have to look far for proof as Chelsea have struggle din their last two matches. First they were knocked out of the League Cup by Swansea City, then followed that up by being forced in to a replay by Brenford.

Reading on the other hand are hot, winners of four straight matches, are threatening to claw their way out of the relegation zone. They know face a tough test in having to deal with Chelsea's creative attack, something that Reading has struggled to deal with well at points this season.

The key for Reading will be limited Chelsea's possession. If Juan Mata and friends are allowed to hold the ball and buzz around in the midfield, Reading will be in trouble.

Reading injuries and suspensions

Out: Jason Roberts (thigh/hip), Alex McCarthy (shoulder). In doubt: Noel Hunt (undisclosed).

Chelsea injuries and suspensions

Out: Orioel Romeu (knee), Eden Hazard (suspended). In doubt: Peter Cech (nose), David Luiz (ankle).

Peter Cech and David Luiz are both doubtful for this one but things could always change. Romeu is recovering from a knee injury while Hazard is serving match two of his three match ban. Noel Hunt will undergo a pre-match fitness test to see if he’s recovered enough from an undisclosed injury. Roberts and McCarthy are both out of the match.
