Norwich City vs. Tottenham Hotspur: Preview and TV schedule

Norwich will be hoping for a repeat of their last home meeting against Spurs as both sides look to rebound from disappointing performances in the FA Cup

Both Norwich City and Tottenham will likely be glad to be back on the pitch in hopes of erasing some bad FA Cup memories from the weekend.

Spurs crashed out thanks to a solid beating from Championship side Leeds United while Norwich became the first Premier League team to lose in the cup to a non-league side. The Canaries definitely suffered the more embarrassing defeat, but who bounces back better from their disappointing performance should have the edge in this one.

Before that loss to Leeds, Spurs had been playing well and were buzzing after a stoppage time equalizer goal from Clint Dempsey that earned them a draw against Manchester United. Andre Villas-Boas will have to ensure his team's head in the right place or they'll be tripped up by a solid Norwich side.

New Spurs signing Lewis Holtby from Schalke 04 in Germany could make his debut tonight.

When these two teams met early in the season, Norwich handed Spurs their first loss at Carrow Road since April of 1991 in a Capital One Cup match.

Norwich City injuries and suspensions

Out: Steve Morison (thigh), John Ruddy (thigh), Harry Kane (ineligible). In doubt: None.

Tottenham injuries and suspensions

Out: Tom Huddlestone (thigh), Jermain Defoe (thigh), Younès Kaboul (calf). In doubt: None.

For the Canaries, Harry Kane is not allowed to play against his parent club Spurs while Morison and Ruddy continue to recover from thigh issues. No new issues for Spurs as all three players on the injured list missed out on their last match as well.

Match date/time: Wednesday, 7:45 p.m. local, 2:45 p.m. ET

Venue: Carrow Road, Norwich, England

TV: None

Online: ESPN3
