Atletico Madrid conceded a goal with three minutes left in the match and we forced to settle for a draw against Mallorca. Raúl García put Atletico in front 18 minutes from the final whistle, but Mallorca sub Kevin equalized right before the final whistle.

A late equalizer by Mallorca left Atletico Madrid with only a point and allowed Real Madrid to close the gap on second place


Neither side was able to score in the first half with the best chance going to Diego Costa, who was denied by a nice save from Mallorca goalkeeper Dudu Aouate. Atletico should have gone ahead around 60th minute but Raul Garcia smashed his open header off the post.
Twelve minutes later, Garcia made sure he didn’t miss.
Diego Costa’s initial shot was saved by Aouate but he left a sizable rebound that was jumped on by Garcia, giving Atletico the lead in the 72nd minute.
With three minutes left to play, Mallorca substitute Kevin hit a powerful shot from a tough angle, beating Thibaut Courtois and evening the match at 1-1.
Giovani dos Santos almost grabbed a winner in stoppage time, hitting a free kick off the post.
