Uruguay vs. Argentina, Lineups: Weakened Argentina gives Uruguay hope

With several key players missing, Argentina are fielding a weakened team away in Uruguay.

Qualifying for the World Cup without having to go through a playoff looks highly unlikely for Uruguay, though their faint hopes of holding up their end of the bargain and beating Argentina tonight are boosted by the Albiceleste's weakened starting 11.

Several of their best players -- including the likes of Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuaín -- are unavailable, with a couple of players in their lineup not even likely to be selected in Alejandro Sabella's final squad for next year's World Cup. Uruguay unsurprisingly field pretty much their strongest team possible, with the Luis Suárez-Edinson Cavani strike force retained.

Uruguay starting lineup (4-4-2): Fernando Muslera; Jorge Fucile, Diego Godín, Diego Lugano, Maxi Pereira; Cristian Rodríguez, Diego Pérez, Egidio Arévalo Ríos, Christian Stuani; Edinson Cavani, Luis Suárez

Argentina starting lineup (4-4-2): Sergio Romero; José María Basanta, Sebastián Domínguez, Federico Fernández, Hugo Campagnaro; Maxi Rodríguez, Éver Banega, Lucas Biglia, Augusto Fernández; Rodrigo Palacio, Érik Lamela
