Mario Balotelli ruled out of AC Milan’s clash with Udinese

Mario Balotelli will miss AC Milan’s match with Udinese this weekend, and is a doubt for next week’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.

It probably says something about AC Milan's current predicament that their one constant is the ever-unpredictable Mario Balotelli, though the rossoneri will be without their star striker in Saturday's match at home to Udinese. The Italian international has picked up a thigh injury, forcing coach Massimiliano Allegri to leave him out with the hope he'll recover in time for the Champions League match against Barcelona on Tuesday. Gulp.

Balo hasn't made a Serie A appearance in a month, having picked up a three-match ban for being sent off in the defeat to Napoli. With summer signing Alessandro Matri yet to get off the mark, Robinho is the only rossoneri striker other than Balotelli yet to score a goal this season. Suffice to say, Milan will feel his absence.
