Real Madrid are in a comfortable position in the Champions League group stage with two big wins from two matches. They now have 10 goals from two games in the competition following their 4-0 beating of FC Copenhagen.

Copenhagen struggled to create chances and got taken apart in the second half by Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the opener in the 21st minute, off a cross by Marcelo. The Madrid left back floated a perfect ball to the back post to find the head of Ronaldo, who made an excellent run to lose two defenders, then nod down into an empty net, as Johan Wiland had come off his line and failed to punch away the cross.
Things were looking up for Copenhagen in the final minutes of the first half, though they failed to capitalize. Pepe was bloodied in an accidental clash of heads in the 38th minute and eventually needed to have staples put in his head. He came off briefly, but continued the match. In the 40th minute, Nicolai Jorgensen hit the crossbar with a header on a corner, but Luka Modric cleared the ball off the line.
Madrid dominated the start of the first half, and they eventually found an insurance goal in the 65th minute. Ronaldo was the scorer again, turning in a beautiful rabona assist by Angel Di Maria. The Argentine would go on to add two goals of his own, scoring in the 71st minute with a beauty from the edge of the box, then again in stoppage time to add the exclamation point to Madrid’s victory.
