Francesco Totti suffers hamstring injury

Roma captain Francesco Totti has suffered a hamstring injury, and will certainly miss the giallorossi’s next couple of games.

AS Roma have confirmed on their official website that their captain Francesco Totti has picked up a hamstring injury, and will be reassessed in 10 days. He was withdrawn with a knock in the first half of their 2-0 win over Napoli, with the injury ruling him out of at least the giallorossi's next couple of games against Udinese and Chievo.

Despite being 37, Totti has continued to play an integral part in the Roma team currently sitting top of the Serie A table. New coach Rudi Garcia has integrated him into his side's attack, and il capitano has appeared in all of Roma's league games this season. Marco Borriello will likely play through the centre of the giallorossi's attacking trident in Totti's absence.
