Andros Townsend's opening goal on Sunday was a cause for celebration among the Tottenham Hotspur. The problem was someone in the Spurs section doesn't know how to celebrate without being an asshat and threw a smoke bomb at the lineman. Unfortunately, he has good aim.
Smoke bomb thrown by Spurs supporter hits linesman
Every fan base has bad apples. A Tottenham one just happened to be worse than most.

Thankfully, the lineman wasn’t injured. He didn’t need medical attention and continued about doing his job without pause, except for a moment to try and find the man in the stands.
Hopefully, those who saw the toss turned the culprit in immediately. Maybe nobody saw who threw the smoke bomb, but if someone did and didn’t point him out under some guise of “protecting my fellow supporter” then he can join the thrower in the monumental jackass category.
Both Tottenham and Aston Villa have committed to investigating the situation and finding the person responsible. If they can find the man, a lifetime ban from both clubs is awaiting and hopefully legal charges too.
UPDATE: Two men were arrested at the stadium, but neither has been charged yet.
