The Gunners can take firm control of Group F at the halfway point of the group stage with a win at home over last year’s runner-up Borussia Dortmund.
Arsenal currently sit atop Group F with perfect record thanks to victories over Napoli and Marseille and are flying high as the current leaders in the EPL as well. The arrival of Mesut Özil at the summer transfer deadline has given the Gunners a new layer in their play and have many believing they could make a deep run in this tournament. Santi Cazorla and Bacary Sagna have both recovered from injury and could feature.
For Dortmund they’ll need to replicate their road success from last season’s group stages if they want to keep working towards returning to another final. Head coach Jürgen Klopp will be in the stands after having his suspension increased for his sending off in Dortmund’s loss against Napoli. Not having the eccentric manager on the touchline will be a blow for BVB. Marco Reus and Marcel Schmelzer will should be available after returning from injury over the weekend.
