Both Real Madrid and Barcelona trailed at some point against average opposition on Saturday, but both came out winners. Barcelona’s victory was the much more comfortable of the two, with Los Merengues needing a dramatic 94th minute goal.
La Real have become Icarus and more from Week 8

Gonzalo Arroyo MorenoAs Week 8 in La Liga comes to a close -- hooray no Monday night games for once, thanks international break! -- things remain much the same as they were when the match week started at the top. The most interesting story though centers around Real Sociedad and their continued struggles.
The story goes that Icarus, son of the master craftsman Daedalus, attempted to fly away from Crete using the wings constructed by his father. The wings were made of feathers and wax and Daedalus had instructed Icarus not to fly to close to sun or else the max would melt. Ignoring those instructions, Icarus flew to close to the sun which cause the wax to melt, the wings to fail, sending him tumbling into the sea where he drowned.

David RamosThings didn’t get off to a good start for Barcelona, however. Javi Guerra surprisingly put Valladolid ahead in the 10th minute on a corner kick. Patrick Ebert delivered a gorgeous corner into the center of the box to assist the goal, finding Guerra as he peeled off his man before powering a header into the back of the net.
Barcelona would continue to dominate the game throughout the rest of the first half, but couldn’t find the go-ahead goal before the break. Valladolid couldn’t hold on long in the second half, though, as Xavi found the eventual winner in the 52nd minute. Neymar set it up with a great turn and surge forward before he sprayed the ball wide to Tello, who squared to Xavi for an easy finish.
