Uruguay is facing an intercontinental playoff for the second consecutive World Cup qualifying cycle, and they're even bigger favorites this time around than they were against Costa Rica back in 2009. Oscar Tabarez's men are expected to comfortably get by Jordan to qualify for the finals, with the away leg in Amman up first on Wednesday.
Jordan vs. Uruguay, 2014 World Cup qualifying: Preview and TV schedule
Can Jordan pull off a big upset at home to make the second leg in Uruguay interesting?

Uruguay were without some of their best players due to injuries and suspensions during the last international break, but have a full squad at their disposal for the next two games. Their defense is healed up, meaning they’ll no longer need to rely on 37-year-old Andres Scotti and 18-year-old Jose Maria Gimenez.
Jordan will be without two of their biggest attacking fixtures during this playoff. Veteran playmaker Amer Deeb and joint-leading scorer Hassan Abdel-Fattah were both left off the squad. Experienced goalkeeper Amer Shafi also missed out on the squad due to an injury.
Match date/time: Wednesday, 9:45 a.m. ET, 5:45 p.m. local
