Raul Jimenez is a scorpion

Are scorpion kicks ever not amazing?

Raul Jimenez is now a first team player for Mexico, which is a very good thing, mostly because Raul Jimenez tries stuff. In Wednesday's World Cup qualifying playoff against New Zealand, he tried an insane sideways scorpion kick. It almost worked.

The excellent save by Glen Moss was all for naught. Jimenez scored with a header on the ensuing corner kick, scoring Mexico's second goal of the afternoon. Perhaps El Tri are turning a corner, but even if they aren't, at least they have a new star who's a lot of fun.
