For Jürgen Klinsmann, it's all about finalizing the list of players he will be taking with him to Brazil next summer in his mind. While most of the spots on the United States roster are probably filled barring an injury, there very much could be a few places up for grabs.
Scotland vs. USA: Preview and TV schedule
Jurgen Klinsmann will be looking for players to step up and claim the final spots in his roster for next summer’s World Cup.

Friday's friendly in Glasgow against Scotland will provide a chance for some of the fringe players in the US setup to make their case for inclusion in Klinsmann's World Cup roster. One of those players is Stoke City's Brek Shea, who returns to the national team for the first time since a series of injuries derailed his progress.
Landon Donovan, Edgar Castillo, Clarence Goodson and Brad Guzan are all out with injuries, but Michael Bradley is back from the injury he suffered in warm-ups for a match against Mexico in October.
James Forrest, Chris Burke and James Morrison have been removed from the Tartan squad due to injuries. Gary Mackay-Steven and Craig Conway have been called-in in their place, while striker Steven Fletcher will be available for the first time since March after recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
The last meeting between these two teams was back in May 2012 when the USA defeated Scotland 5-1 in Jacksonville, Florida.
