Argentina vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina: Preview and TV schedule

The Albiceleste’s Messiless American tour continues on Monday with a matchup against a potential future World Cup opponent, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Jamie McDonald

Lots of American fans who spent lots of serious money to see Argentina during this international break will be very disappointed that they didn't get to see Lionel Messi, but hey, Argentina! They have lots of other good players! They're still good! Cheer up, dude who spent in excess of $100 to see Messi. You'll enjoy Monday night's game against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Argentina are coming off a 0-0 draw against Ecuador in New Jersey, in which Ricky Alvarez took Messi's place in the Albiceleste lineup. He's the only true central attacking midfielder in the team, though Erik Lamela, Sergio Aguero or Ever Banega could shift into that position.

Bosnia and Herzegovina did not play a friendly last week and took a squad to America just for this match. That’s possibly because they’re taking it so seriously and possibly because they couldn’t find another large American venue to book them and another opponent to play them. In any event, they should be rested and prepared, and therefore a solid test for Argentina.

Match date/time: Monday, 8:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Busch Stadium, St. Louis, Missouri

TV: beIN Sport (U.S.), BT Sport 1 (U.K.), ESPN+ (Argentina)

Online: beIN Sport Play (U.S. and Canada)
