West Bromwich Albion vs. Aston Villa: Preview and TV schedule

The Premier League has a Midlands derby in store on Monday night, with Aston Villa travelling to neighbours West Brom.

Stu Forster

Hostilities in the Midlands are resumed in the Premier League on Monday night, as West Bromwich Albion host their near neighbours Aston Villa. These sides are currently inseparable in the Premier League, with both having picked up 14 points from their opening 11 games, and both struggling to find much consistency.

Steve Clarke’s Baggies have so far struggled to live up to the eighth-place heroics of last season, while Paul Lambert’s young Villa side -- while undoubtedly showing promise -- are yet to deliver too. A derby win could definitely be of use in helping to kick-start a run of good form for both of these teams.

West Brom don't have anywhere near as many injury concerns as Aston Villa, with only Zoltán Gera, Billy Jones and Ben Foster sidelined. For Villa, Gary Gardner, Charles N'Zogbia, Fabian Delph, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Joe Bennett and Jores Okore are all set to miss out.

West Bromwich Albion injuries and suspensions
