Manchester City vs. CSKA Moscow: Preview and TV schedule

Manchester City are currently on course to progress to the Champions League’s knockout stages, and should beat CSKA Moscow at the Etihad on Tuesday.

It has been a far from perfect start to the season for Manchester City, though they've been reasonably solid in the Champions League so far. Manuel Pellegrini's team have picked up six points from their opening three games -- losing only to group leaders Bayern Munich -- and are currently on course to progress to the knockout stages in second place.

They welcome the team directly below them in the group, CSKA Moscow, to the Etihad on Tuesday, knowing that a win will guarantee their progression. It probably won’t be an easy game for the Blues -- they had to come from behind to pick up a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture -- though they should have enough to pick up three points on home soil.

Unfortunately City are still without captain Vincent Kompany and Stevan Jovetić, who picked up a calf injury in last week's Capital One Cup victory against Newcastle. CSKA Moscow will be without Mario Fernandes, Aleksandrs Cauna, Alan Dzagoev and Rasmus Elm through injury.

Manchester City injuries and suspensions

Out: Vincent Kompany (thigh), Stevan Jovetić (calf). In doubt: None.

CSKA Moscow injuries and suspensions
