Manchester City have finally made the Champions League knockout stage, while Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain missed chances to solidify their positions.

One half of the UEFA Champions League group stage’s Matchday 4 is in the books, and great fun was had by all.

Shakhtar Donetsk 0-0 Bayer Leverkusen

This is bad news for Shakhtar, who really needed a home win to feel great about their chances to go through. They're two points behind Bayer and three behind Manchester United. However, they're still very much in control of their own destiny, thanks to the other result in their group.

Real Sociedad 0-0 Manchester United

Robin van Persie missed a penalty and Chicharito missed an incredible sitter. United could have grabbed a stranglehold on first, but they’re in a bit of trouble now.

Juventus 2-2 Real Madrid

This was a wild one, with Juve going up a goal, conceding twice and striking back to seal a point. They’re last in Group B right now, but can fire themselves into second by winning their next two games, regardless of other results.

FC Copenhagen 1-0 Galatasaray

Perhaps Gala were caught looking ahead to their big derby against Fenerbahce? This is a terrible result for them, considering Juventus’ slip-up. Daniel Braaten had the goal for the hosts.

Paris Saint-Germain 1-1 Anderlecht

PSG are probably going to win their group, but they only have a three-point cushion thanks to today’s results. Demy de Zeeuw surprisingly scored this game’s opener, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck back two minutes afterwards. All hail Zlatan.

Olympiakos 1-0 Benfica

Financial problems haven’t hindered the Greek giants any. They’re up to second place in Group C with this result, three points ahead of Benfica and three behind PSG.
