Chelsea vs. West Bromwich Albion: Preview and TV schedule

After a disappointing defeat to Newcastle last weekend, Chelsea will hope to bounce back at home to West Brom on Saturday.

Chelsea and Liverpool's losses last weekend have allowed Arsenal to open up a five-point gap at the top of the table, though the Blues will be optimistic of reducing the Gunners' deficit -- even if only temporarily -- with a victory at home to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

It's a meeting which sees José Mourinho face off against his former assistant Steve Clarke, though despite Chelsea's sketchy form, there isn't much chance of Clarke getting one over on his old boss. Chelsea have won their last six league games at Stamford Bridge while the Baggies have only won once away this season, struggling to match their brilliant previous campaign.

Chelsea will be without injured trio Marco van Ginkel, Fernando Torres and Ryan Bertrand, though West Brom's injury list is rather more concerning. Zoltán Gera, Ben Foster, George Thorne and Billy Jones are all definitely out, while Nicolas Anelka, Scott Sinclair and Victor Anichebe are in doubt.

Chelsea injuries and suspensions

Out: Marco van Ginkel (knee), Fernando Torres (leg), Ryan Bertrand (knock). In doubt: None.

West Bromwich Albion injuries and suspensions

Out: Zoltán Gera (knee), Ben Foster (foot), George Thorne (knee), Billy Jones (hamstring). In doubt: Nicolas Anelka (groin), Scott Sinclair (hamstring), Victor Anichebe (hamstring).
