Aston Villa vs. Manchester United: Preview and TV schedule

Aston Villa will look to capitalise on Manchester United’s poor form with a win on Sunday.

Mid-table Aston Villa have had a solid if unspectacular start to the season, though Manchester United have had a spectacular start to the season. Unfortunately for David Moyes, that's a spectacularly bad one. The Red Devils slipped to ninth as their winless run extended to four games last weekend, and Villa would draw level on points with their visitors with a win on Sunday afternoon.

Fortunately for United, they travel to a team which has one of the worst home records in the Premier League. The Villans have won only two of their opening seven matches at Villa Park so far this season, with only relegation strugglers Sunderland having amassed a lower points tally in front of their own fans. A failure to pick up a win would certainly pile yet more misery onto a team which has already fallen out of contention to defend their Premier League crown.

Villa will still be without Jores Okore, Charles N'Zogbia, Joe Bennett and Ron Vlaar through injury, while Fabian Delph is suspended. Summer signings Libor Kozák and Antonio Luna are hoping to shake off their problems in time for the match. For United, Michael Carrick and Robin van Persie are the first-team regulars definitely sidelined, while Marouane Fellaini, Chris Smalling, Nemanja Vidić and Patrice Evra are all in doubt.
